I am thinking the eurail pass is the way to go yet I noticed that a lot of trains still have a reservation fee of 15-30 USD per train. This seems like it may add up. Also I am a female, solo traveler- and advice is welcomed!

I have studied your site and got a lot of good info from it. I am 66 yrs, in good heath, and I don’t want to go with the standard tours etc. Any suggestions to find things that are not totally aimed at the tourist.
