I’m looking for a good/versatile travel/day pack. It needs to meet carry-on size requirements for airlines and have enough capacity for digital SLR and lenses, two jackets, extra set of clothes, maps, iPad, etc. I don’t need a full-size/larger backpack as our hiking will be minimal, at best. Will not be skiing or camping. Given Scotland’s usually wet climate, would like it to have some water resistance. Also, would like to keep price at $100 or less.
I’ve looked at many packs online and am considering either the Osprey Comet or Osprey Quantum. Would these “fit the bill” and/or is there a better option?
